Luke Miln

Luke is 29 and a Supervisor for Newcastle House Levelling, a company that repairs and replaces house foundations as well as restoring homes back to level after years of sinking. He come to PDH only a few months ago with no experience with the  functional strength & conditioning style of training. Not only has he learned most of our fundamental movements in such a short period, he has become an important member of our community, joining us on social events, comps and sports.

LETS HEAR ABOUT LUKE'S JOURNEY AT PDH.

• How long have you been training at PDH?

Approximately 3 months.

• What are your current goals with training?

improving my health and being better physically and mentally than I have in the past.

• What does PDH provide that sets them apart from other gyms?

Personally, I couldn’t have asked for a better gym to join, the support from the coaches and members is unmatched.

In my opinion, training at PDH is incomparable to any gym I’ve ever been part of. The environment is what sets it apart and makes it so enjoyable, everyone helps to motivate you, and coaches go out of their way to teach you.

• What would you say to encourage other people in your position to get started?

I wouldn’t say I have any leg to stand on when it comes to trying to preach why anyone should start there fitness journey, but sacrificing one hour of your time per day to improve your mental and physical health in a place that accommodates anyone regardless of their fitness level is beyond worth it, the people you meet make it even more worth it.

Luke's biggest strength in the gym was starting with no ego and no expectations. He's listened, learned and applied himself consistently in every session and now he's making big gains in the gym with his lifts as well as with his body composition. He's made an effort to get to know everyone in a few different timeslots and it feels like he's been with us for years. Luke's journey at PDH is one that truly reflects how awesome joining PDH can be even when you're a beginner with no experience. He's already obtained purpose, motivation, and friendships that could last a lifetime.
